Red Door Youth Group on Sunday evenings – Happens this week on Jan. 29 from 6:00pm-7:30pm

Matthew 7:7-8.    “Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

Hello everyone,
We have a few things coming up this and next week that would be good to have on your radar. First, we will have youth group Sunday, January 29, from 6:00-7:30. I’ve invited Beau to join in that night with me. Invite friends and we’d love to see you all there!
Next is our Snowdown Movie Night on Saturday, February 4th. It starts at 6:00, but we’d need youth and their families to arrive at 5:30 to volunteer for various duties. These duties include, making popcorn, setting up, cleaning up, etc. We are hosting this event for the church and Durango community, so it would be great to have everything prepared and ready to go.
Finally, our Ski Day on Monday, February 6th! We will not have youth group on February 5th since we have a ski day that Monday. (School is off). If you’re an adult interested in driving and spending time with us, please let me know as we will need a few drivers. Thanks for everything! We appreciate your help and participation!

RED DOOR: Sunday nights from 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Red Door Youth

Each Sunday Evening (except when school is on break) from 6:00-7:30pm we meet for Youth Group which we call Red Door. In years past a Red Door was sign of welcome to all. In early America a Red Door meant that a home was open to weary travelers to stay and enjoy their shelter, warmth, and hospitality. In the Bible a Red Door means God’s protection. And that’s what Red Door Youth Group seeks to be for the youth of Durango. Anyone can come. All are welcome. There are no tests, or exams, or expectations other than to bring yourself. Red Door is the place of hospitality for all Durango youth.

Right now we’re meeting once a week with students aged middle school through high school on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30. At Red Door you can expect the warmth of a good meal (always free and often homemade by one of our volunteers) fun, games, friends, good discussions and the embrace of God’s love for all. If you are, or you know of a student who could use a place and a community like Red Door please join us anytime! …
