POP’s Hike on Saturday, January 31, 2026 — Little Molas Lake

Happy Thursday, Adventurers!

Geni and I and Gary and Cathy have scouted several possibilities and we also had some great help from Cal and Gena Hoffman who scouted one of our possibilities. The Steering Committee decided to head to Little Molas Lake and we are NOT taking our snowshoes. Gary and Cathy think that hiking boots and perhaps some Yak-Trax for traction. The parking lot is on US 550 just N. of Molas Pass. Gary and Cathy will be at FPC at 9:00 and we will head north from PJ’s about 9:15, depending on when the town caravan leaves. We are just taking Yak-Traxs, water, snacks and additional warm gear.  I have to get back for a haircut by 1:30 PM, but we should be back in town by 12 or so. An easier day hike under weird conditions in a beautiful setting will be a great way to wrap up SnowDown! Please feel free to call if you have any questions. We would have room for 2-3 riders from PJ’s. If the weather changes again, we will keep the communication flowing.
