Prom night can be one of the most dangerous nights of the year for our high school students. After-Prom provides a great opportunity to continue celebrating in a safe, memorable, and fun environment. This year’s After-Prom will be held at the Durango Rec. Center immediately following the Durango High School Prom on April 12th.
Last year, over 500 students spent the night with great food, games, dancing, singing karaoke, playing on inflatables, casino and winning amazing prizes! This year, we are anticipating more than 500 students. For over 24 years this event has proved to be a safe alternative to after prom activities and we appreciate your support in helping us provide this for our children.
The Durango Community After-Prom Association Committee has been planning the 2025 DHS After-Prom Party for months and needs your help. This year it will take almost 100 volunteers to transform the Rec. Center into Mardi Gras. After-Prom begins on Saturday night and lasts until the wee hours of Sunday morning. You do not have to be there the entire time, there are numerous time slots to pick from that could work for you. Our greatest needs are on Sunday morning.
After-Prom is a Community Sponsored Event and is not associated with Durango High School or 9-R.
