Light Up The Night – Help Is Needed! Just Show up!


Are you ready to help “Light Up The Night”?

We’ve become one of the favorite family-friendly Durango events on Halloween. Every year wonderful volunteers step forward to help stuff bags with candy and Bible verses, unload the props from the Halloween trailer and help set everything up.

We could really use your help for this extravaganza! We know everyone is incredibly busy, but if you can help, here are the times and tasks:

  • Saturday October 26. Noon to 3:00pm. We attach the background banners in the fellowship hall (they hang from the ceiling).

  • Sunday October 27 after the Worship Service. after Worship Services. 1. We unload the Halloween Trailer. 2. Candy bags are stuffed. 3. Tables, props, and decorations are set up.

  • Monday October 28 – Wednesday October 30. “Just in case” days for ensuring things are operating ok.

  • Thursday October 31. Noon to 4:00pm we set up the outdoor dragon, tables, pavilion, and lighting for serving hot cider and candy.

  • 4:00pm – 8:30pm Kids & parents swarm. We need cooks, greeters, and servers for meeting people and serving hot cider & candy. We also need people to work inside Westminster as good shepherds to help parents and kids go through the extravaganza.

Finally…..

Friday and Saturday. Take everything down and move decorations to their new home beneath the church.
