AmeriCorps Volunteers – Extended Stay in the Education Building. Begins April 19.

Like the AmeriCorps Vista Volunteers who stayed here and helped install our solar panels 3 summers ago, a different group will be using our space for overnights while they assist with other new solar installations around LaPlata and Montezuma Counties. They will be here from Friday, April 19 until Saturday June 1 and, when not working, they mostly will be staying in the Youth Lounge.

We had a fantastic experience during the last go-around with this government-sponsored group and expect this visit to be a success as well. Ten post-college aged individuals from all around the country make up this group.

John Newton will be our Staff Representative for the group. If you happen to see any of them around the church campus, please welcome them with our famous good ol’ FPCD hospitality.
