Post-Secondary Scholarships Available! Apply by May 5, 2024
Team Christian Formation is pleased again to offer scholarships to our post-secondary students. We encourage potential candidates to be familiar with the scholarship guidelines to confirm they are eligible candidates. Copies of the guidelines and applications are available via our scholarship link on our FPC website or from Marie Davidson. Application for Scholarship Fund
The Christian Education Committee of the First Presbyterian Church oversees a scholarship fund for post-secondary education/vocational opportunities. The fund is supported by endowment gifts that have been made by members and friends of the church.
It is important that each potential applicant review carefully the attached guidelines developed by the Christian Education Committee to confirm that he/she is an appropriate candidate before submitting the application, and to gain more information about scholarship application and recipients.
In general, awards will be granted based on the following criteria:
- educational goals
- scholastic achievement
- church / community involvement
We also ask the applicant to include a description of their faith journey.
Financial aid will always be in the form of grants. There is no contractual obligation for recipients to “pay back” the grant, but all gifts to the Scholarship Endowment Fund are welcome and help First Presbyterian Church continue this important ministry.
Recipients may be of any age, race or nationality and may be requesting the scholarship for college, vocational education, or postgraduate degrees.

The Scholarship Fund Committee will respond within the first two weeks of May, 2024.
