Red Door Youth
Each Sunday Evening (except when school is on break) from 6:00-7:30pm we meet for Youth Group which we call Red Door. In years past a Red Door was sign of welcome to all. In early America a Red Door meant that a home was open to weary travelers to stay and enjoy their shelter, warmth, and hospitality. In the Bible a Red Door means God’s protection. And that’s what Red Door Youth Group seeks to be for the youth of Durango. Anyone can come. All are welcome. There are no tests, or exams, or expectations other than to bring yourself. Red Door is the place of hospitality for all Durango youth.
Right now we’re meeting once a week with students aged middle school through high school on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30. At Red Door you can expect the warmth of a good meal (always free and often homemade by one of our volunteers) fun, games, friends, good discussions and the embrace of God’s love for all. If you are, or you know of a student who could use a place and a community like Red Door please join us anytime!
