Dear Church Family,
This upcoming Sunday, Mother’s Day, in our ongoing conversation on The Stuff That Sticks, I’m going to share some words of wisdom from my mother. In late September of 2001 she passed away, losing her battle with cancer. Her final days were extraordinary. She committed herself to speaking with friends and family about the love of God until she could no longer speak. Her last words to me were, “Make your whole life about Jesus.” It was truly transformative. It reminds me so much of Jesus’ own last words to his disciples, called the Great Commission, in Matthew’s gospel. Make our whole lives about Jesus. It’s the stuff that that sticks. I can’t wait to share more this upcoming Mother’s Day.
